Focussed Change, a fresh approach
A focused approach for people who know that life could be different, are keen for change, but feel held back by something they haven't been able to address on their own. Whether it is a career related issue (imposter syndrome, professional frustration, issues with public speaking or other) or personal (fears, phobias, difficult backstory, relationships, habits, addictions and more) you can make the change you are seeking.
When you book a Focused Change Session, I reserve three hours of uninterrupted time for you. This doesn't mean that we will necessarily work together for three hours. The amount of time we need will depend on your circumstances, what we discover together and what we agree is the appropriate way to address it.
But instead of feeling rushed or having to arrange multiple appointments to slowly make progress, our aim will be to address the change you are looking for in one substantial (while not overwhelming) session.
The process of Focused Change
1. An initial chat, to be certain
While some people go straight to booking an appointment, most prefer a conversation first. It allows them the opportunity to ask questions, and to be sure they are taking the right next step. You can message me, or book a ‘free initial conversation’ here.
2. A conversation about you
In your session we will begin by taking our time to understand what has brought you to me, what you would like to change and what may have been getting in the way. For some people, this is very straightforward. For most, it will be the longest part of the session. The better I understand the issue, the greater our success in dealing with it.
3. We agree how to proceed
There is no fixed script or single technique. Once I understand your situation, we will agree together on the most appropriate way to proceed. This may involve hypnotherapy, eye movement techniques, cognitive and behavioural approaches, or a combination of all of these. Some people imagine that Hypnotherapy involves handing over control. With me it is quite the opposite, everything will be agreed together.
4. The work
We then focus on the change you want to make, using the approaches we have agreed are most appropriate.
5. Moving forward
Before you leave, we consider what will help you to maintain the changes you have made and how you can continue to ‘Mind Yourself’ going forward.
My aim for this one long session is to help you make the progress you are ready to make, and to leave with all the resources you need to continue moving forward yourself.
£370
For most people, this is the only session they will need. Of course, you are welcome to keep in touch and to have a follow up session should you wish.
I have one therapy room in The City and another in Kings Cross. Some people prefer to meet online, whatever works for you.
Next steps:
You are welcome to book a free 20-minute conversation before booking. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for and decide together whether this way of working is appropriate for you.
